Hello. My name is Dr. JaQuinda Jackson. Pleased to meet you!
I grew up in the Simpsonville, South Carolina, area and graduated from Hillcrest High School. I attended College of Charleston where I majored in Sociology with a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies.
After graduation, I relocated to Washington, D.C. where I gained my Masters in Community Counseling and my Doctorate in Counseling Psychology at Argosy University. While in D.C., I fell in love with helping individuals and families carry out their purpose in life.
It is my strong belief that we are all here for a purpose and I want to help you and others realize and begin to live within that purpose.
My experience includes working in both the non-profit sector and social services sector specializing in the mental health and wellness. And in addition to being a National Certified Counselor (NCC), I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of South Carolina. The majority of my therapeutic background is in trauma-focused, female trauma-focused and reality therapy, as well as family solution therapy. Along with begin a therapist, I assist schools and other organizations build out mental health programs to ensure access for all.
I also assist individuals through school advocacy. I believe that in order for our communities to be successful, we must provide all children with adequate education regardless of the color of their skin and their background.
Along with enjoying helping others, I am a mother to two active boys and a wife to an amazing husband! I also am an executive director of a non-profit called, KindCollab, which teaches social emotional learning to children and adolescents.
In my free time, I enjoy learning, working out and spending quality time with my family. I very much look forward to meeting you!
